Datenschutzerklärung
Stand: 14. Oktober 2026. Diese deutsche Fassung ist maßgeblich.
Kurz gesagt: delemma speichert, was du selbst zum Lernen speicherst — Wörter, den Satz, in dem sie
standen, und die Seite, auf der du sie gefunden hast. Keine Werbung, keine Analyse- oder Tracking-Werkzeuge, kein
Verkauf von Daten. Unsere Server stehen in Deutschland; einige Funktionen nutzen Dienste in den USA (Abschnitt 10).

Diese Erklärung gilt für die Browser-Erweiterung, die Web-App, die mobile App und unseren Server.
2. Hosting, Protokolle und Sicherheit
Server und verschlüsselte Sicherungskopien liegen bei Hosting-Anbietern in Deutschland, die in unserem Auftrag
verarbeiten (Abschnitt 10). Zugriffe mit IP-Adressen protokollieren wir nicht. Anwendungsprotokolle enthalten
technische Ereignisse und Fehler, darin kann deine E-Mail-Adresse vorkommen. Zum Schutz vor Missbrauch zählen wir
Anmelde- und Registrierungsversuche pro IP-Adresse kurzzeitig im Arbeitsspeicher. Verbindungen sind verschlüsselt,
Passwörter speichern wir nur als Hash.
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Bereitstellung des Dienstes) und lit. f (sicherer, stabiler Betrieb).
3. Dein Konto
- Registrierung: E-Mail-Adresse und Passwort; wir senden eine E-Mail zur Bestätigung.
- Profil und Einstellungen: Name und Spitzname (siehst derzeit nur du), Sprachen, Design,
Lerneinstellungen, Zeitzone, Websites, auf denen du die Erweiterung ausgeschaltet hast.
- Anmeldung mit Google (freiwillig): Google übermittelt uns Google-Kennung, E-Mail-Adresse und
Vornamen.
- Schutz vor Bots bei der Registrierung: Cloudflare Turnstile; dabei erhält Cloudflare deine
IP-Adresse und technische Browserdaten (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO — Schutz vor automatisierten Registrierungen).
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO.
4. Wörter speichern und lernen
- Die Erweiterung wird auf allen Websites geladen, sendet aber nur etwas, wenn du angemeldet bist und ein Wort
markierst: das Wort, den Satz und die Adresse der Seite. Je nach Einstellung wird das Wort damit in deinem
Wortschatz gespeichert oder nur angezeigt.
- Vollmodus (Pro, standardmäßig aus): sendet den sichtbaren Text deutschsprachiger Seiten zur
Analyse, ohne Seitenadresse; der Text wird nicht gespeichert.
- Wir speichern deine Karten, Decks, die Wiederholungshistorie und daraus berechnete Statistiken. Der
Wiederholungsplan wird automatisch berechnet; das ist keine Entscheidung im Sinne von Art. 22 DSGVO.
Ein Satz kann Angaben über andere Personen, eine Seitenadresse Kennungen enthalten. Speichere bitte
keine vertraulichen Inhalte — jedes Wort lässt sich samt Satz jederzeit löschen.

5. KI-Funktionen
Für die Wahl der passenden Bedeutung, Wörterbucheinträge und fehlende Übersetzungen seltener Wörter und die Satzübersetzung senden wir
Wort, Grundform, Satz und Bedeutungen an Sprachmodelle über OpenRouter, Inc. (USA) — nie deinen Namen, deine
E-Mail-Adresse oder eine Nutzerkennung. Die Bedeutungswahl lässt sich in der Erweiterung abschalten, die
Satzübersetzung läuft nur auf deinen Klick. Erzeugte Einträge und Übersetzungen speichern wir ohne Bezug zu dir.
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO.
6. Bilder und Aussprache
Wörterbuchbilder und Aussprache liefert unser Server selbst aus. Für die Bildsuche fragt unser Server Pixabay und
Unsplash nur mit dem Suchwort ab. Ein gewähltes Unsplash-Bild lädt dein Browser nach den Regeln von Unsplash direkt
von dort, wobei Unsplash deine IP-Adresse erhält. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b und f DSGVO.
7. E-Mails und Feedback
Wir senden nur E-Mails zu deinem Konto (Bestätigung, Passwort, Kopie deines Feedbacks, Löschung), keine Werbung.
Feedback speichern wir und leiten es mit deiner E-Mail-Adresse an ein internes Werkzeug unseres Teams weiter, um es
zu bearbeiten. Meldest du einen Fehler, hängen wir die technischen Angaben zur fehlgeschlagenen Anfrage an (Kennung,
Fehlercode, Adresse ohne Parameter, App-Version) und, wenn du willst, einen Screenshot; der Screenshot wird nur an
dieses Werkzeug weitergeleitet, nicht bei uns gespeichert. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO; für Feedback lit. f.
8. Speicherung auf deinem Gerät
Wir speichern auf deinem Gerät nur, was technisch notwendig ist (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG): das Anmelde-Cookie
refresh_token (30 Tage), Anmelde-Token, Sprache, Design und deine Einstellungen. Deshalb gibt es keinen
Cookie-Banner.
9. Testumgebung
Neue Versionen prüfen wir mit einer pseudonymisierten Kopie der Daten auf einem Server in Deutschland: E-Mail-Adresse,
Name, Passwort und Feedback-Texte sind dort ersetzt. Nur unser Team hat Zugang. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f
DSGVO (fehlerfreier Dienst).

Löschst du dein Konto (Einstellungen → Konto), werden deine Daten sofort gelöscht, aus Sicherungskopien spätestens
nach 30 Tagen.
12. Deine Rechte
Du hast das Recht auf Auskunft (Art. 15 DSGVO), Berichtigung (Art. 16), Löschung (Art. 17), Einschränkung (Art. 18),
Datenübertragbarkeit (Art. 20) und Widerspruch (Art. 21). Unter Einstellungen → Konto kannst du alle deine Daten
exportieren und dein Konto löschen; für alles andere genügt eine E-Mail an
dev@delemma.app.
Widerspruchsrecht (Art. 21 DSGVO)
Verarbeiten wir Daten auf Grundlage berechtigter Interessen (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO), kannst du jederzeit aus
Gründen deiner besonderen Situation widersprechen; eine E-Mail genügt.
Du kannst dich bei einer Datenschutz-Aufsichtsbehörde beschweren (Art. 77 DSGVO).
13. Kinder
delemma richtet sich an Personen ab 16 Jahren; Jüngere nur mit Zustimmung ihrer Eltern.
14. Chrome Web Store und Google-Dienste

Daten der Erweiterung nutzen wir nur für ihren Zweck — Wörter beim Lesen zu speichern und zu lernen — und nicht
für Werbung.

Privacy policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026. This is a translation; the German version is binding.
In short: delemma stores what you save to learn — words, the sentence they were in and the page you
found them on. No ads, no analytics or tracking tools, no selling of data. Our servers are in Germany; some features
use services in the USA (section 10).

This policy covers the browser extension, the web app, the mobile app and our server.
2. Hosting, logs and security
Servers and encrypted backups are with hosting providers in Germany that process data on our behalf (section 10).
We do not log requests with IP addresses. Application logs hold technical events and errors and may contain your
email address. To prevent abuse we count sign-in and sign-up attempts per IP address briefly in memory. Connections
are encrypted; passwords are stored only as a hash.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the service) and (f) (secure, stable operation).
3. Your account
- Sign-up: email address and password; we send an email to confirm the address.
- Profile and settings: name and nickname (currently visible only to you), languages, theme,
learning settings, time zone, sites where you turned the extension off.
- Sign-in with Google (optional): Google sends us your Google ID, email address and first name.
- Bot protection at sign-up: Cloudflare Turnstile; Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical
browser data (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — protection against automated sign-ups).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
4. Saving words and learning
- The extension loads on every site but sends something only when you are signed in and select a word: the word,
the sentence and the page address. Depending on your settings the word is saved to your vocabulary with them or
only shown.
- Full mode (Pro, off by default): sends the visible text of German pages for analysis, without
the page address; the text is not stored.
- We store your cards, decks, review history and statistics computed from it. The review schedule is computed
automatically; this is not a decision within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
A sentence may contain information about other people, and a page address may contain identifiers.
Please do not save confidential content — you can delete any word with its sentence at any time.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
5. AI features
To pick the right sense, write dictionary entries and missing translations for rare words and translate sentences, we send the word, its
base form, the sentence and the senses to language models through OpenRouter, Inc. (USA) — never your name,
email address or a user ID. Picking the sense can be turned off in the extension; a sentence is translated
only when you click. Generated entries and translations are stored with no link to you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
6. Pictures and pronunciation
Dictionary pictures and pronunciation are served by our server. For the picture search our server asks Pixabay and
Unsplash with the search word only. A picture you pick from Unsplash is loaded by your browser directly from Unsplash,
as Unsplash requires, which gives Unsplash your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
7. Emails and feedback
We send only emails about your account (confirmation, password, a copy of your feedback, deletion), no marketing.
Feedback is stored and passed with your email address to an internal tool of our team so we can handle it. When you
report an error, the technical details of the failed request (its id, error code, address without parameters, app
version) go with it and, if you want, a screenshot; the screenshot is only passed to that tool, not stored by us.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; for feedback (f).
8. Storage on your device
We store on your device only what is technically necessary (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG): the sign-in cookie
refresh_token (30 days), sign-in tokens, language, theme and your settings. That is why there is no
cookie banner.
9. Test environment
We test new versions with a pseudonymised copy of the data on a server in Germany: email address, name, password and
feedback texts are replaced there. Only our team has access. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (a service without errors).

When you delete your account (Settings → Account), your data is deleted at once, and from backups within 30 days.
12. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18),
data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). Under Settings → Account you can export all your data and delete
your account; for anything else an email to dev@delemma.app is enough.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on
grounds relating to your particular situation; an email is enough.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
13. Children
delemma is meant for people aged 16 and over; younger people only with their parents' consent.
14. Chrome Web Store and Google services

встретились, и страницу, где вы их нашли. Без рекламы, без инструментов аналитики и отслеживания, без продажи данных.
Наши серверы находятся в Германии; некоторые функции используют сервисы в США (раздел 10).

2. Хостинг, журналы и безопасность
Серверы и зашифрованные резервные копии размещены у хостинг-провайдеров в Германии, которые обрабатывают данные по
нашему поручению (раздел 10). Запросы с IP-адресами мы не записываем. Журналы приложения содержат технические события
и ошибки, в них может попасть ваш адрес почты. Для защиты от злоупотреблений мы недолго считаем попытки входа и
регистрации с одного IP-адреса в оперативной памяти. Соединения шифруются, пароли хранятся только в виде хеша.
Основание: ст. 6(1)(b) GDPR (предоставление сервиса) и (f) (безопасная, стабильная работа).
3. Ваш аккаунт
- Регистрация: адрес почты и пароль; мы отправляем письмо для подтверждения адреса.
- Профиль и настройки: имя и никнейм (сейчас их видите только вы), языки, тема, настройки учёбы,
часовой пояс, сайты, где вы выключили расширение.
- Вход через Google (по желанию): Google передаёт нам ваш идентификатор Google, адрес почты и имя.
- Защита от ботов при регистрации: Cloudflare Turnstile; Cloudflare получает ваш IP-адрес и
технические данные браузера (ст. 6(1)(f) GDPR — защита от автоматических регистраций).
Основание: ст. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
4. Сохранение слов и учёба
- Расширение загружается на всех сайтах, но отправляет что-либо, только если вы вошли и выделили слово: слово,
предложение и адрес страницы. В зависимости от настройки слово сохраняется вместе с ними в ваш словарь или только
показывается.
- Полный режим (Pro, по умолчанию выключен): отправляет видимый текст немецких страниц на анализ,
без адреса страницы; текст не сохраняется.
- Мы храним ваши карточки, колоды, историю повторений и статистику по ней. План повторений рассчитывается
автоматически; это не решение в смысле ст. 22 GDPR.
Предложение может содержать сведения о других людях, а адрес страницы — идентификаторы. Пожалуйста, не
сохраняйте конфиденциальное — любое слово с предложением можно удалить в любой момент.
Основание: ст. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
5. Функции ИИ
Чтобы выбрать подходящее значение, составить статью или недостающий перевод для редкого слова и перевести предложение, мы отправляем
слово, его начальную форму, предложение и значения языковым моделям через OpenRouter, Inc. (США) — никогда
ваше имя, адрес почты или идентификатор пользователя. Выбор значения можно выключить в расширении, перевод
предложения — только по вашему нажатию. Созданные статьи и переводы хранятся без связи с вами. Основание: ст. 6(1)(b)
GDPR.
6. Картинки и произношение
Словарные картинки и произношение отдаёт наш сервер. Для поиска картинок наш сервер обращается к Pixabay и Unsplash
только с поисковым словом. Выбранную картинку Unsplash ваш браузер по правилам Unsplash загружает прямо оттуда, и
Unsplash получает ваш IP-адрес. Основание: ст. 6(1)(b) и (f) GDPR.
7. Письма и обратная связь
Мы отправляем только письма по вашему аккаунту (подтверждение, пароль, копия обращения, удаление), без рекламы.
Обращение мы сохраняем и передаём вместе с вашим адресом почты во внутренний инструмент команды, чтобы его разобрать.
К сообщению об ошибке прикладываются технические данные о неудавшемся запросе (номер, код ошибки, адрес без
параметров, версия приложения) и, по вашему желанию, снимок экрана; снимок только передаётся в этот инструмент и у нас
не хранится. Основание: ст. 6(1)(b) GDPR; для обращений — (f).
8. Хранение на вашем устройстве
На вашем устройстве мы храним только технически необходимое (§ 25(2) № 2 TDDDG): cookie входа
refresh_token (30 дней), токены входа, язык, тему и ваши настройки. Поэтому баннера cookie нет.
9. Тестовая среда
Новые версии мы проверяем на обезличенной копии данных на сервере в Германии: адрес почты, имя, пароль и тексты
обращений там заменены. Доступ есть только у нашей команды. Основание: ст. 6(1)(f) GDPR (сервис без ошибок).

Копию стандартных договорных условий можно запросить у нас. Органам власти данные передаются, только если этого
требует закон.

Если вы удалите аккаунт (Настройки → Аккаунт), данные удаляются сразу, из резервных копий — не позднее чем через 30 дней.
12. Ваши права
У вас есть право на доступ (ст. 15 GDPR), исправление (ст. 16), удаление (ст. 17), ограничение обработки (ст. 18),
переносимость данных (ст. 20) и возражение (ст. 21). В разделе Настройки → Аккаунт можно выгрузить все свои данные и
удалить аккаунт; для всего остального достаточно письма на dev@delemma.app.
Право на возражение (ст. 21 GDPR)
Если мы обрабатываем данные на основании законного интереса (ст. 6(1)(f) GDPR), вы можете в любой момент возразить
по причинам, связанным с вашей ситуацией; достаточно письма.
Вы можете подать жалобу в надзорный орган по защите данных (ст. 77 GDPR).
13. Дети
delemma рассчитан на людей от 16 лет; младше — только с согласия родителей.
